Harbor Delicatessen: Your Go-To Local Deli for Comfort Food and Quick Bites

Visit Date: February 22, 2026 I have lived in Baldwin most of my life, except for some years I spent in Merrick, Hewlett and in Babylon with my ex-husband. I've been back in my childhood home trying to get back on my feet after divorce which has been hard and I don't remember ever visiting this deli, it's possible I went as a child and don't remember. On Sunday I was doing a 7 mile run before the blizzard hit because my job was closed. I was almost done with my run and realized I lost my second energy waffle for fuel. So I popped into the deli to see if they had bagels. I didn't see any bagels but I got a BEC. They accept google pay which was good because I didn't have my wallet with me just my phone. They didn't even know they accepted google pay until they asked and I tried it. I got my BEC and sat down in a nice little sitting area the deli provides to eat it before finishing the last of my run. It was great. Better than another BEC I got that I wasn't too pleased with and felt I didn't want to review. It was also a pretty good amount of Bacon, egg and cheese a lot of places give you practically nothing now and charge you a lot for it. I ate my awesome sandwich and continued to finish the last mile of my run after. If you haven't been to this little deli you should go!

My family and I have been going to this deli for over 50 years. That say a lot. We absolutely love this place. I live down the street from the deli and joke that this will be the selling point for my house. The food is always great, and I can't possibly live without their delicious coffee! I feel like the staff is part of my family. This deli is one of a kind.

Great community deli. Always best hero's. Had a egg sandwich yesterday morning and can't stop thinking about how good it was... waiting for them to open to get another ..omg... you HAVE to get the home fries...

I eat here at least twice a week for lunch, I recently ordered a platter of wraps that were fantastic, the potato salad is always the best.. friendly, spotlessly clean store , with kind and helpful service.

I've been coming here since i was a kid. From bacon Egg sandwiches, lunch meat to chicken cutlet on a roll. Cold salad Antipasto salad and the best rice pudding ever! Keep up the good work. Everytime I come back to visit this is an absolute must have!!

Staff is warm and friendly. Take your order promptly! They have the best coffee in town! Their hot egg sandwiches are the best around!

This is a step back in time to good quality old fashioned NY delis. Food is amazing and always fresh. Its an institution in our community. We're snowbirds now and when we come home to NY this is a must have on atleast a weekly basis! My dad is elderly and they treat him with so much respect. We have so many great memories here over the years. Thank you!

I go there every day. Most of the people that work there are friendly . Many customers have been coming to this deli for Many years, I have been going to this deli since I was 5 years old, so 6o years. They know your name,and how you take your coffee. Great egg sandwiches. Yummy specialty sandwiches. Hot lunches too. Reccommends the Health salad. Potato and Coleslaw. The roast pork Hot lunch is super!Sandwiches are great! I like the new southwest style coleslaw.
